I have been working at CenturyLink full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Some individuals among mgt teams can really strive to make the workplace fun and motivating, casual corporate environment

    Cons

Too many hoops to jump through every month just to keep your job. No other job opportunity in another department is presented to sales staff if you don't make your numbers, even if you've been there more than 10 years. Crazy! High stress...lack of communication or solidarity between different departments. Very isolationist culture outside of your own dept. Turnover in sales dept is off the chart.

    Advice to Management

Your people are more than bonus generators for you. Try to remember that.

I worked at CenturyLink full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits were good and the people are friendly. The training provided does prepare you for the ordering system.

    Cons

CenturyLink is a sales based environment, which is fine but the management doesn't care if you get the sales honestly or not. There were many people within the company who would meet their sales quotas by adding things to customer's accounts without permission. My supervisor in particular only turned a cold shoulder when I brought a customer complaint to her about a fellow co-worker who had done just that. Nothing was done to that employee.
