I have been working at Chamberlain Group full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Excellent opportunities for employees to roll-up-their-sleeves and make a difference; excellent potential for career development.

Based on the strategic direction and quality of leadership and employees, I expect Chamberlain - an already extremely successful company - to grow dramatically over the next few years with the launch of exciting new products and an increasingly global presence.

Cons

Chamberlain is going through a period of growth and transition. These changes, however, simply mean opportunities for self-starting, results-focused employees.

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Continue to lead the company's expansion into new markets and maintain your emphasis on new product development.

Also, continue to set expectations high and push for greater levels of quality and productivity.

I worked at Chamberlain Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working with people that had been there longer for 8+ years

    Cons

Working with almost everyone that has been there less than 2 years.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue on the feelings of the longer term employees, but then again, you don't really care about them anyway!

"Good company but management level needs to grow up and act like adults"

I have been working at Chamberlain Group full-time

    Pros

Great energy to innovate and introduce change, good compensation and good people to work with (at working level)

Small company feel, if you like to be involved in moving projects along and getting things done, you can easily plug in and get going

Company does a nice job of celebrating small wins and does a good job of holding events to foster social ties amongst employees. Keep it up

    Cons

Culture clash in office is apparent. Senior leadership is 3 levels deep of ex Newell Rubbermaid people which limits growth opportunities for those 'not in the club'. Older management team of Chamberlain sales culture is full of little children in adult bodies. Both cultures first instinct when things hit a speed bump is blame and throwing people under the bus. I am disappointed when people in leadership positions of both cultures find it appropriate and at times, amusing, to publicly tell others about individuals performance and/or job security. Grow up

There is a lot of positive change and momentum that is underway and needs to be further supported. Many people working towards that change are smart and hard working and just need some more coaching and mentorship, not blame games.

    Advice to Management

Act like a leader when times are good and bad. There are times when tough love is needed and appropriate, but embarrassing and scapegoating others is not 'leadership'
