I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good benefits, stable company, and a fair amount of autonomy (if performing to satisfaction). A reasonable amount training and available resources to get needed information on an ongoing basis.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations, upper management not in tune with certain marketplace realities. Too much competition with inhouse call center and advertising, with various promotions and incentives available to them to offer, and not to us.

Advice to Management

Get more in touch with street level realities and expectations. Stop the "churn 'em & burn 'em" attitude, applying constant stress and performance pressure via unrealistic expectations.

I have been working at Charter Communications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Easy Job
    Good Training
Well equipped for the job(most of the time)
    Good benefits
    quick to move up/promote

    Cons

Middle Management seems fairly incompetent or seems to plan things out to give the perception of how much they are needed. While the training is good, it is very inconsistent, in its pace.

    Advice to Management

HR should be more cognoscenti on who they promote to middle management.

I have been working at Charter Communications full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company benefits are good, I have worked for the company for over 6 years and have held several roles, in which I have learned quite a bit about the cable industry. Tuition reimbursement is something great to take advantage of.

    Cons

Unfortunately, what was learned here maybe better utilized at another company there is no opportunity for growth within the organization. Hiring outside of the company seems to be a trend when job opportunities come available.

    Advice to Management

Try to find out what skills your current employees possess to promote from within
