    Pros

Decent pay, good benefits, good place to get a start in banking, Chartway employs many young people, most employees are friendly and easy-going.

    Cons

Nothing corporate does makes sense. If you're a floater, don't expect to work in the branches they say you will work at; expect to drive 45 minutes-1 hour to and from work. Hours at Farm Fresh branches are ridiculous. Training is sub-par, they only teach you how to do the things that make the credit union money. If you don't know someone in corporate, don't expect to be promoted; or heard for that matter. Turnover is extremely high, and although the answers are right in front of them, they either don't seem to understand why, or don't care.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, there is a reason everyone is unhappy and looking elsewhere for employment. Reward those who are doing a good job, not just because they know someone. The "shakeup" of 2011 was unnecessary and caused many more problems than solutions. You don't seem to realize how many good people you are losing due to petty b.s.

I have been working at Chartway Federal Credit Union full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The working hours are great, the pay is above average and the management is very involved in the success of the individuals and the branch.

    Cons

In the Texas region scheduling is a problem for me. We receive one weeks schedule at a time and usually don't get the schedule until Thursday or Friday. This makes it hard to schedule appointments and not very family friendly. As a Floater Teller you work at different locations depending on where you are needed. This position would be great for a person who doesn't have a family or lives in a central location in comparison to the branches. For me, it didn't work. There is also not a lot of career opportunity unless you're in VA or UT.

    Advice to Management

Work on getting the schedule out sooner and creating one months schedule at a time.
