I worked at Chatham University part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Lots of free time comes with working as an Ambassador. There'd be entire weeks where we went without giving a tour because there were always many more tour guides on each shift than there were people coming in for a tour. You get lots of respect and Chatham swag as an ambassador too!

Cons

Very, VERY low amount of hours. Expect 4-5 a week if you're lucky. While any work is good, other student workers had much more full schedules

Advice to Management

Engage student ambassadors more. While it's a great job to have, many people who were actually a part of the program just felt bored

I worked at Chatham University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's convenient to work here if you work in the city. It's generally very easy work and doesn't have a lot of stress associated with the work.

    Cons

Management is overall poor. There is a poor business plan in action.

    Advice to Management

Work by example, if you want the student employees and staff to work hard and do their job well than so should the management.

I worked at Chatham University full-time

    Pros

The campus community is warm and inviting; many staff and faculty care deeply about their students and the work they do.

    Cons

Many of the most effective academic programs do not have the resources they need; staff turnover is very high.
