I have been working at Chevron full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Strong people oriented culture
    Good set of company values
    Opportunity rich
    Great learning environment
Aspiration, experience and skills will take you far
    Great Benefits
    Massive scale projects
    Energy is important
Most of what you work on makes a difference

    Cons

Slow to adopt technology - almost to the "Amish" level
Process oriented - sometimes to the point of constipation
Concensus decision making culture - the good thing is that everyone has a say; the bad thing is that everyone has a say
Too many managers - too few leaders

    Advice to Management

Managers administering a process to grow leaders "We Lead" does not a leader make!
Senior Leaders are much better than middle managers - middle managers are quite weak.

I have been working at Chevron full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Chevron goes above and beyond to take care of its employees. This includes above market compensation, benefits, bonuses, employees' safety and well-being, and career-development. People are generally happy to work here. Happy coworkers = happy working environment.

    Cons

This may be a pro to some, con to some. Performance evaluation is based on a competitive method. Meaning, your performance is assessed relatively to your peers.'
