"It was okay."

I worked at Chevy's full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Food was good. You made a decent amount of tips in the summer. Some of the other servers were friendly.

Cons

At the time I worked there, they were starting to make changes(hiring new managers and servers). The severs who worked there for a long time thought they were still running the store and often gossiped.

Advice to Management

Get respect from your staff.

    Advice to Management

create a team friendly environment by organization and employee's best interest, so that employees are not at each other's throats for tables that come in.

I have been working at Chevy's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

tips are okay if you are a favorite and get the good shifts.

    Cons

servers don't work together as a team. managers play favorites. there are no consequences for not doing your job. we are always running out of things like limes, vodka, to-go containers, etc. managers are lazy and ineffective. the owner is arrogant. servers who have been there forever run the show. they expect you to participate in contests (like selling certain drinks) and all for nothing. no reward....just do it because it's your job. they use threats to motivate. no professionalism.

    Advice to Management

Pull your heads out and manage the restaurant. Treat people equally and stop playing favorites. Fire the people who aren't performing like the bussers who are the relatives of the servers who run the place. show some respect and maybe you'll get some in return.
