    Pros

    It's good to be part of the teacher's union. And of course, the kids.

    Cons

    Too much unnecessary paperwork/red tape. Too much testing. Weird stuff going on with contract negotiations.

    This is an excellent career with full benefits. Fantastic if you want to transition to teaching.
