Health benefits and holidays. Work on weekends is usually not required.
Cons
Chicago Public Schools is a very large bureaucracy, full of red tape and incompetency. Example: they just stopped issuing paper paychecks to employees who also get direct deposit (which is 99% of the employees). Before that, everyone got a voided paper check, whether they wanted it or not. Many facilities are run down. Staff is overworked and underpaid. Recommendation: AVOID
