I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time (More than a year)

Pros

- Excellent platform from which to begin worth-while experience
- Builds work-ethic
- More positive culture compared to what I've heard in regards to McDonald's

Cons

- It can take a lot to work your way up
- Can feel repetitive

Advice to Management

Employees appreciate a manager who is working with them on the front line and not absent during peak times

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. You won't find a nicer group of employees to work with.
    2. The food is high quality and free to employees (and it's delicious).
    3. Fast paced and will teach you many good business and personal traits.
    4. Company has very good and religious core values and they are non-judgmental at my location. We aren't aloud to talk politics and they don't force religion on anybody.

    Cons

    1. Don't really feel appreciated by some managers/the owner operator
    2. The team members do almost everything and practically run the restaurant, but don't get paid jack crap. The only raise I've gotten is when minimum wage went up.
    3. Rude and judgmental guests
    4. Some managers don't have much sympathy for your problems and like to play favorites right in front of you.
    5. They also play favorites when it comes to scheduling. I've worked my butt off for several months and still get my hours drastically cut.

    Advice to Management

Try paying attention to ALL employees and their performances. I've had guests tell me I need a raise for all the extra things I do, but some of you just don't care. STOP playing favorites and promoting people you just hired (happened 3 times since December that I know of), cause it really makes others feel like crap.
