Disappointing Management Position

The customers come in to buy, not just to look.
Cons
Top down directives. Upper management pretends to listen to sales teams' feedback but then they don't. Instead they say "control only what you can control and don't worry about the rest." Technology inadequate for what they expect sales teams to do. Way too many promotions and coupons that are confusing for the customers and the teams. Less and less merchandise that appeals to over-40 customers. Much less creative merchandise than Chico's used to offer. Customers complain often that they're not excited about the merchandise.

We had a great team of people who worked at my store. And most of the customers were very nice. The discount is good and the seasonal larger discounts are great except narrowly available
Cons
The pay is not great. In Florida, the manager was the only person who received a bonus based on mystery criteria. Keeping good workers could be difficult and the store was often understaffed.
