Approves of CEO

I have been working at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Well-known and respected in Atlanta. Great work/Life balance.

Cons

Lacks in Technology. Leadership is bland. Hard to move up or around in the company.

Advice to Management

Show some interest in developing younger employees. We are ambitious and are very capable.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Even if you're not working in the hospitals or neighborhood locations (I was non-clinical staff at the Office Park), you feel a real sense of purpose knowing you are a part of the organization that does so much good.

    Cons

Most of the senior leaders are arrogant, condescending and completely uninterested in their rank and file staff (actions speak louder than words).

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves before you destroy a wonderful organization.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great mission
    Very competent clincal care providers
    Good work in the community

    Cons

When leadership roles become available, many times internal talent overlooked, and external candidates brought in. This happens too often.

    Advice to Management

Place much bigger emphasis (and resources) on developing talent from within, instead of just bringing in external candidates. People are going to continue to leave and take away a lot of the historical knowledge with them if there are no opportunities for career advancement.
