Pros

Great benefits from a well respected organization.

Cons

Very political.
Middle management seems unable to cope with the rapid growth of the organization. You work with very poor systems and any issues are seen as complaints and not as valid concerns.
Very limited growth opportunities with management that views any desire to move to other areas seen as disloyalty. Job assignments/opportunities based on who is liked and not offered to all.

Advice to Management

Check to ensure that middle management is actually following the rules you set forth.

    Pros

    - Great place to work if you have children.
    - Co-workers and colleagues were fantastic.
    - Benefits package was pretty outstanding for the region.
    - Knowing the work contributed to a much larger and positive picture made it easy to go in and get the job done.

    Cons

    - In the time that I was there, I watched the department degenerate into a heavily political environment.
    - Good people with double-digit years of service left the organization as a result of the political environment; major red flag.

    Advice to Management

    - Offer better training and the time for team members to focus on it.
    - Change the focus from politics back to the staff helping the children.
    - Continue to support the culture which has existed there for so long; family, teamwork, and striving for the greater good.
