Pros

Chance to experience up to date technology

Cons

If you are a minority looking for opportunity and advancement DO NOT work here. CBN is NOT about ministry, that has become an afterthought. CBN is all about politics. And that politics is ultra-conservative, anti-diversity, white privilege politics. CBN does not care about the advancement of minorities especially within the IT department. In fact, the company does all it can to hold back people of color. CBN is supposed to be a CHRISTIAN workplace, yet it is riddled with RACISM and ELITISM. The only time I was able to experience promotion is when my manager was completely desperate to fill a position. Other than that, they reserved all the good, high paying IT positions mostly for white males (not even women). If you were fortunate to experience any advancement, promotion, or a salary raise like I was, the leadership and the team felt entitled to completely take over your time and dump a bunch of work on you, and try to make you meet completely unrealistic expectations. But I was being setup to fail! To all minorities (mostly African American) who are looking to advance in their career in IT DO NOT work here! Go to a company that will assess you by your work and your character not the color of your skin.
