I worked at Ciber full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ciber employs some very talented people who have strong knowledge of their industry vertical, market and approach. Ciber is well established in various markets, particularly higher education and its European counterpart has shown strong growth.
Pay and Benefits are standard for the industry.

    Cons

Leadership - Ciber leadership is in a constant state of change, leaving gaps in leadership. General communication from Denver (HQ) is minimal as it pertains to company status, direction and overall objectives. In my estimation, its questionable how much technology background and organizational experience Dave PeterSchmidt and current staff have in terms of company reorganization and planning. It's as though they can't seem to decide what direction to take Ciber as it pertains to market demand and revenue opportunities. From an integrator that specializes in Lawson, Oracle and SAP, there are no clear market differentiators
to demonstrate a clear path to prospective clients. Additionally, Ciber is playing catch up in its public sector vertical since many of their employees have either left or been terminated.

Employees - Many of Cibers (very talented) consultants are tasked 24x7, making it difficult for them to focus on one client to the next. Mostly burned out from RFP's, conference calls and internal demands, they are not able to focus on what matters most...the customer.

Market - Due to Ciber's reorganization, marketing has been drastically reduced, negatively affecting new market opportunities.
