I worked at Cincom full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some very competent people, not flashy, can learn a lot as I did working in software product development. Had a very strong technology and product suite in the 90s. Lots of strong experienced people with incredibly long tenures makes for product stability.

    Cons

Products are now ancient. Company is milking old technologies and completely unsuited for the oncoming new technology trends and in every sense of the word a dinosaur.
The management keeps getting reshuffled constantly without being held accountable for their performance.
It is a privately held company, and has been run by one person since inception.

    Advice to Management

No advice to management, as this is a company clearly in decline.
