I have been working at Cintas full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Corporate is concerned with the overall contentment and safety of all employee's(Partners). "Corporate" Not location.

Cons

To many "idea people" Nobody to speak of with the “I will do attitude". Everybody is eager to delegate but nobody want the responsibility of doing it themselves. WAY TO MUCH "brown nosing"!! Absolutely no support structure, it is clearly sink or swim. I have had to re-event the wheel in many different facets within my department simply because trainers and management in my option by there lack of actions frankly could care less if you’re successful. If your going to be succesful here you must do so ON YOUR OWN!

Advice to Management

Make your managers do there own jobs instead of relying on re-delegation.

I worked at Cintas full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Early success is achievable through hard work and results. A ten to fifteen year tenure is very possible for a new manager.

    Cons

Results that achieved early success become unsustainable and crushing on work-life balance. Should be prepared to make a career change between ten and fifteen years. It will be beneficial for the individual and the company seems to want the same outcome.

Corporate office struggles with diversity initiatives at the group office level. Appear to chase quotas on gender and minorities and unfortunately have high turnover.

    Advice to Management

Check the linkage of communication going both ways. Top down message. Bottom up information. The most sincere and honest communication from the profit centers are not always well received at the middle links and are filtered.

I worked at Cintas full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Service Rep. co-workers
    -Good pay and good benefits.
    -Plenty of overtime.
-4 day work week. MOSTLY optional Fridays.

    Cons

    -Micro-managers.
-No paid holidays for Service Reps.
    -Almost non-existent fleet maintenance
    - The company makes it impossible to get a hold of H.R. when you need them (but they're there for termination!). Everything is centralized through an 800 number outsourced to India.

    Advice to Management

Cintas is a behemoth corporation where you are just a number, not a human being. All management and corporate cares about is the bottom line. They shove safety and security down your throat with endless safety meetings and videos. When it comes down to it they are willing to sacrifice both if the job can't get done otherwise. Treat people as human beings, not infallible robots.
