Pros

Cisco has a special opportunity for college new hires called the Cisco Choice Program. This program allows new hires to actually interview the business units they would like to work for, then select the one they are most interested in. Through this experience, Cisco gives it's new hires the opportunity to match their passions and talents with a known business need which leads to maximum employee effectiveness.

Cons

You never know when there might be a corporate wide restructuring and you'll get a new manager!

Advice to Management

Create a more formal process for identifying exceptional talent and helping that talent reach their maximum potential without needing to leave the company.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Great benefits, nice people, support of work/life balance, competitve salary, good review and reward system, ability to stretch and take on projects not in my job description and be recognized for the above and beyond work.

    Cons

Corporate structure is too big to make quick decisions. Management doesn't empower their employees to make decisions to run the part of the business they are responsible for. Processes are slow. Too many past acquisitions thus losing focus on core competencies.
