I worked at Cisco Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent flexibility. There's a very thin line of difference between work and life. You get a chance to pursue your interest. There's no micro-management. You have full freedom. You have lot of opportunities to move internally and work with different team/technology.

    Cons

Some teams/technology is really saturated. As a result if you get into such teams, you won't be really able to enjoy your work. However, if you want to be very "light" at work with minimal learning/progress, you might like it. It will be more like enjoying retired your life. You need not have to work !!
