I have been working at Citi as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Was given early responsibilities and a lot of room for me to think for myself. At the same time, I was assigned a mentor outside of my department who I had lunch with 3 times. My mentor was very useful to me as he had a lot of good advice.

Cons

As I applied for a specific role, I did not get the chance to change departments and find out more about how Citi works.

Advice to Management

Thank you for the enriching experience and please continue doing what you do.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people, decent salary, decent benefits. Ability to work remotely occasionaly. On site gym, ATM, cafeteria.

    Cons

Frozen salary for 2 years. Huge benefit cost increase. Overtime occasionaly required, but that is the norm for any IT job.

    Advice to Management

Make your employees feel appreciated by giving them at least a cost of living wage increase each year. Frozen salaries just don't cut it. Don't take your employees for granted. They will eventually leave and all that company investment in them, training, education, etc. will be gone. No place to go for career advancement. The old boy network definitely exists at Citi.
