I have been working at Citi full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Flexible Work Schedules, Remote Work, Vacation/Sick/Holiday time all paid

Cons

Expensive benefits, They say that they offer competitive salaries.....not so much! Little to no award recognition, communication business and company wide is a 1 out of 10, with 10 being the best.

Advice to Management

There needs to be more truth to job postings in terms of compensation, and job requirements. Many jobs that I have worked, required much more than what was listed. in addition, do not say that there is opportunity for career growth/promotions, if there isn't. Also...it's been a few years since the big bank recession...time to start compensating employees with both merit raises and bonuses.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot depends upon your manager. Assuming one has a good manager, one can almost define his/her role by taking on as much responsibility as possible. If one has the aptitude and drive getting exposure to technology, quants, analytics, trading desks, etc. are all within reach. Internal mobility is supported and encouraged.

    Cons

Because this is a very large organization, there is a need to cooperate with many peripheral groups and coordinate schedules and project plans. There are formal meetings and processes to accomplish this, but it also helps to have a good network of friends when you need favors.

Even top performers are seeing compensation compression in these difficult economic times.

    Advice to Management

Recognize and reward your quality people.
