No opinion of CEO

I worked at Citi full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good name brand recognition and experience is a good platform to grow your career going forward. I was fortunate to have a good boss and team, but others not so lucky.

Cons

Poor salary, benefit, perks. Gigantic corporation, easy to get lost in bureaucracy. Poor training and onboarding, outdated technology platform, wasn't empowered with the tools I needed to do my job.

I have been working at Citi full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Typically the management staff tries to work with it's employees in regards to work/life balances, medical leave, and other personal issues that may arise. They also have a 401k contribution program and a healthy amount of time off as your longevity continues.

    Cons

The collection department has become a nightmare when it comes to job stability. Some associates have now transistioned through 4-6 managers. Some are due to managers being reassigned to different work while others have been let go due to lack of staff to manage. Staffing is bloated so there will be some downtime between timezones but this year they aren't making adjustments which is causing some people not to get approved for vacation days and even a chance of getting off early. Also the company has telecommuters who used to get reimbursed for their internet but the company has slashed that benefit to half the amount they used to give and then down to nothing in July.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees and stop taking away from their benefits. Analyze your work load better and staff accordingly. Also promote internally without all the hoopla of going through an interview. If you see an individual who has leadership skills then you reach out and offer them an appropriate position.
