Pros

Benefits are not bad, lots of departments - so room for advancement.

Cons

Lots of change, benefits getting less as time goes on.

I have been working at Citizens Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company culture and atmosphere to work at. Products and services offered are pretty good compared to the competition. Benefits are pretty good for full time employees. Many training opportunities to help advance your skills.

    Cons

As a teller the pay isn't great and bonuses aren't any better. The hours are not the best sometimes working late or weekends. Many branches seem to be under staffed. Meeting goals can be difficult for those who are not all about sales.

    Advice to Management

Better communication between management and operations would go a long way.

I worked at Citizens Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The obvious banker hours are very nice. The benefits and vacation time were also very nice. The training was paid along with mileage (as long as YOU were the one driving). My colleagues were great and we all got along really well.

    Cons

Sell sell sell. You have to really put up huge numbers and while it maybe unfair to compare them to a non bank, as far as bonuses/commission structure they are pretty bad. It's progressively gotten worse as I stay in contact with several good friends still there. The hourly is solid but I never made over 2k in a bonus for a quarter where my current job I can make 2k bonus in a month. They (at least in my area) have tons of rollover but rarely promote from within, which is very frustrating for anyone trying to work up the ladder of success.

    Advice to Management

Instead of having conference calls and brow beating your staffs into sales, try to actually give USEFUL sales ideas and tactics. This can help get the team motivated and let them know that you are on their side (at least you should be....).
