Pros

Free lunch but that has even been cut back on. Nice co-workers and pet friendly environment.

Cons

There is no such thing as a work-life balance. Yes attorneys at first might work long hours however they do not only get paid $45k a year and the odds of a bonus or raise coming are non-existent here. I left this job and found another one where I am able to make 24% more and it is in retail management! Management would ask employees what can they do to help streamline the process to make the job better. But they never listened to any suggestions or lightened the work load. Instead the work required increased because a lot of medical records staff (left/fired?) therefore the salaried attorney was just given more work to perform instead. Additionally upper management actually stated attorneys were the only capable people to get medical records. How about hire more intelligent people in those roles if you think they aren't competent enough to perform simple tasks. There is no such thing as a sick day with this job, you either have to plan it out in advance or end up working on the weekend to just catch up, even though you are constantly behind because more work is being thrown your way. I thought it would be a good job because it came with healthcare (which you have to wait 90 days for) I should have kept my previous job with a solo-practioner instead and bought my own health insurance. It is not worth your effort or time to work/interview here.

Pros

The healthcare coverage was decent, which felt like the bare minimum positive to mention.

Cons

- Work came to a standstill as information piled up at higher levels, leaving tasks unfinished for days at a time - Simple questions went ignored while deadlines remained rigid and unforgiving - Accuracy was demanded relentlessly, yet the tools and guidance provided felt outdated and poorly supported - Accuracy was demanded relentlessly, yet the tools and guidance provided felt outdated and poorly supported - Productivity dropped as decisions dragged on and leadership stayed disconnected from daily realities - Frustration grew as responsibility stayed with staff but authority and clarity stayed out of reach
