Pros

Innovative products, supportive management and an excellent benefits package make Citrix the best place I have worked in the technology sector. Citrix is small enough to feel like you can make a difference and have ownership of your project or product. Yet the company is big and established enough to feel relaxed and not like a crazed start-up. I feel like Citrix is an "adult" company whereas many places I worked at previously were just children. I also believe Citrix products are poised to grow and and mature over the next five to ten years in the enterprise software field. This is definitely a company going through a growth and expansion phase.

Cons

Legacy software from the 90s is at times hard to support, and has not always been well received in the marketplace.

Advice to Management

Eat your own dog food! If Citrix software is marketed as "green" since it enables telecommuting and less energy use, then all employees should be encouraged and supported in telecommuting as much as possible. Otherwise, the marketing message seems a bit hypocritical.

    Pros

If you get a good boss, you will really enjoy your work experience at Citrix. Some in upper management do not do a good job at recognizing a job well done, but others are very good at it.

    Cons

Since Citrix has grown so much in the past 5 years, I feel that the "family" atmosphere is slowly being disregarded.

    Advice to Management

Senior Management needs to find better ways to bring moral back to were it used to be. there are lots of questions lately with Citrix's future. Though I believe its a great company, there are many questions in the air about it and they are not being answered.

    Pros

Mark Templeton is a great CEO and great leader

    Cons

Poor acquisitions, bad management, poor salary packages, wierd HR policies, poor career path opportunities and inability to fire people

    Advice to Management

Review your promotion policy..Sure seems like if you’re not a consultant or didn’t come from one of the acquisitions you have no chance of moving up in the company. Evaluate your first line managers..most of the seem to really stink and offer zero value..
