    Pros

Good benefits, visionary leader, international university, non-profit, very supportive of work/life balance, high integrity. Many people who work here have strong beliefs about our faculty and curiculuum. Students are number one and the goal is to serve the underserved, to serve those that may not have a chance at higher ed.

    Cons

Resources are very limited right now so the university has to be careful about where funds are being spent. Have had furloughs here recently which was a hardship for some emplolyees but the administration was creative about how they were implemented.

    Advice to Management

Keep communicating with staff and faculty especially in these difficult times. Look for opportunities to expand our reach locally. It is too bad that the community does not know that much about us and what we offer.

  2. "It's unusual for an academic institution - Interesting, provided growth, very energetic place, constantly changing."

    Pros

Faculty and staff are very friendly. Benefits are very good. People are very flexible. Students are definitely the focus of the university and they are everyone's priority.

    Cons

University goes too many directions too often and doesn't follow through. Tries to change on a dime. Poor communication from senior administration to staff.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that senior managers have the maturity required to supervise people, not just the technical know-how and brains.
