Pros
Fun, low stress work environment.
Commission is ok - based on your gross profit, which is rough because margins are very slim on most Apple products. Sometimes there are added incentives to pick up an extra $50 here and there.
Flexible hours, lots of downtime in between customers at lower volume stores
Cons
Initial salary is non-negotiable unless you have a ton of experience with Apple products. $9.50 for 3mo and $10.50 + commission after that. Raises are unlikely without moving to a management position.
Turnover is very high which means more experienced salespeople have to pick up a lot of the slack and help guide new hires on how to do everything.
Not much room for growth/promotion/raises. Salespeople can hope to become a store manager but there's not much beyond that.
Commission is unfairly biased towards high volume stores. Bellingham store employees will often make 5x more commission than employees at other locations working the same number of hours.
