I have been working at Clear Channel full-time

Pros

Clear Channel has a great group of people. You definitely make close friends on the job and the job culture can be fun and flexible at times. There's a few perks, like meeting big music artists, a chance at winning a free trip to the annual iHeart Radio concert in Vegas and the occasional work parties in appreciation of our hard work. Overall, the work culture is satisfying.

Cons

Outside of upper management and AM personalities, the pay is very disappointing. Company wide bonuses do not happen on a yearly basis. Upper management just grows and grows - VP's, VP II's, VP III's, Directors, Sr Directors, and more - the top get paid. It's also hard to grow within the company. There are no mentor or training programs outside of upper management.

Advice to Management

Put more focus on your employees outside of upper management.

    I worked at Clear Channel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    I met a lot of great people. A few of the stations were top rated and well recognized in the market.

    Cons

    Constantly changing commissions; increased budgets based on where the company needed to be and didn't take the clients and forecasting into consideration. Overall being an account executive felt like just you were just a number.

    Advice to Management

    Management was a completely "boys club" and didn't know how manage their people. Figure it out or you'll continue to see the constant turnover.

    Health Benefits, low pay low moral

    Advice to Management

    I understand you're broke but if you can't keep your employees how will it ever get better. Stop outsourcing.
