I worked at Clear-Com full-time (More than a year)

Pros

There is a group of nice people who are overworked and underpaid. They've been seating in their positions for years and are so comfortable with the way things are and don't want to change.

Cons

Very strange culture. Tightly controlled and managed by the parent company HME which is based in Poway, CA. It is a very old school mentality, bureaucratic and not forward-thinking family-ran organization, outdated processes, no career growth for most people. It's a sad place to be.

Advice to Management

The HME management treats people like disposables. They don't encourage high performance, they don't want to spend money on new technologies and improvements. It's a family-ran dictatorship.

    Pros

    Projects are constant
Wonderful group of people to work with
    Benefits
    Flexible work hours

    Cons

    Limited Creativity
Higher ups are difficult to work with
Needs to include others in an interview of a person you'd be working with closely

    Advice to Management

The company needs to have more creative freedom. Instead of designing for what the higher ups want, design for your customers. Customers don't care what the higher ups want.
