Pros

Entrepreneurial environment - open to doing things differently. You can make impactful contributions to the company. Pay for performance mindset - work hard, make an impact on company and you'll be rewarded. Leadership very accessible - open door policy. Still some opportunity for professional growth, depending on the department -you can take on additional roles and tasks that are now available given the layoffs. Great people doing terrific work under challenging situations.

Cons

Grew employee base too quickly too fast. Processes and systems still being created and taking the fun out of the environment. Environment changed from hard working, fun and lighthearted to stressful and uncertain. Need to find a way to balance the needs of the new, larger company and the fun of a company challenging the status quo. Must be ok with lack of work/life balance and an always changing environment. Uncertainty about direction of company, funding and company's future.

Advice to Management

Communication is key. Need to be more proactive about internally addressing rumors; the chatter and whispers about what could be happening are demoralizing and add to instability employees feel. Greater visibility of executive leadership to the entire employee base could help those lower on the totem pole not feel so alienated from the rest of the company.

    Pros

Great people & great product-they definitely had a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

    Cons

The strategy was constantly changing and the company didn't manage their cash resources well.

    Advice to Management

Put some better people in charge at the mid-senior management level.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Employees generally embrace visions & objectives of transformational network technology.

    Cons

Whole question of retail vs. wholesale strategy should have been ironed in Dec 08 at time of JV with Intel, Google, Comcastse, TWC and Brighthouse.

    Advice to Management

Figure out how to transition Clear retail customers to Sprint, Comcast, TWC or other acquirer's customer base, because no advertising + no smartphones = big loss to VZW and ATT now that 4G networks are becoming widespread. And move to LTE asap.
