Pros

Good benefits, decent pay for the job performed. A lot of people in the organization are very proud of the products and service, and believe in what they are doing.

Cons

Self-centered mentality of management and team members, a real air of "this is my football, and we're not going to play" mentality among team members - it was like everyone was afraid to share any knowledge for fear of it lessening thier value; almost a paranoia it seemed.

Advice to Management

Less emphasis on trendy ads and catchy slogans, and more effort at hole-patching the network. Maybe a balance of both would benefit the company more.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Entrepreneurial environment - open to doing things differently. You can make impactful contributions to the company. Pay for performance mindset - work hard, make an impact on company and you'll be rewarded. Leadership very accessible - open door policy. Still some opportunity for professional growth, depending on the department -you can take on additional roles and tasks that are now available given the layoffs. Great people doing terrific work under challenging situations.

    Cons

Grew employee base too quickly too fast. Processes and systems still being created and taking the fun out of the environment. Environment changed from hard working, fun and lighthearted to stressful and uncertain. Need to find a way to balance the needs of the new, larger company and the fun of a company challenging the status quo. Must be ok with lack of work/life balance and an always changing environment. Uncertainty about direction of company, funding and company's future.

    Advice to Management

Communication is key. Need to be more proactive about internally addressing rumors; the chatter and whispers about what could be happening are demoralizing and add to instability employees feel. Greater visibility of executive leadership to the entire employee base could help those lower on the totem pole not feel so alienated from the rest of the company.
