I worked at ClubCorp full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great co-workers! Enjoyed working with most people immensely. A shame though that lot of them are about to leave for the same reasons.

Cons

Benefits package is crap, do not let them pull the wool over your eyes. Zero training. Period. Even our OA told us that you could expect zero training from them, ever. General Manager doesnt have a clue about what his members want, how to give it to them, or how to connect with his staff. Majority of the staff is under paid and over worked.

I worked at ClubCorp full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a job. Long hours with no pay keeps you out of trouble and away from your family.

    Cons

Low pay, horrible expensive benefits, no incentives, no raises, no support. Upper management is clueless to what it takes to provide members with service. They are only concerned with making numbers so they get a bonus, while everyone else suffers.

    Advice to Management

Provide a quality service to members, and treat employees with respect.

    Pros

The majority of the membership is what keeps me coming to work everyday, they are great!

    Cons

Management on every level. Cutting resources, poor communication, no training yet high expectations.

    Advice to Management

Try thinking of your employee partners and how their daily work life is affected by the many corporate mandated programs. Pepsi Promotion $99 for five lessons is a joke, lets make the Golf Professional give their hard earned knowledge away for almost nothing. Not to mention all of the free clinics. Lessons are needed...you are killing us. Dont expect us to maintain a 65% COGS while increasing merchandise sales by 10% each year........IT WONT HAPPEN! In this economy there are very few people who will pay $89 for a golf shirt. One number has got to give, or it will continue as is with a shop full of merchandise that doesnt move. Regional Management is COMPLETELY out of touch with day to day operations and their focus on numbers, numbers, numbers and statistics is going to drive this company into the ground!!!
