I have been working at Coach full-time (More than a year)

Pros

They care about their employees. Lot of benefits and initiatives for the employees.
You get to know the entire core of the company with a lot of cross collaboration and information sharing. Great coworkers, laid back and very collaborative environment, everybody is helpful and friendly as required by the Coach corporate culture. Open doors company with easy access to Senior Executives. Excellent work/life balance.

Cons

In some departments, especially those not part of the core business, opportunities for a career growth can be slow and limited.

Advice to Management

Allow Horizontal career changes between departments and short exchange experiences in other Coach offices in the world. To make the company growth, Coach should try to hire staff with experience in too luxury brands (Prada,Hermes etc.)

I have been working at Coach as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    The people are amazing.
    Laid back atmosphere.
    Casual attire.

    Cons

Overworked - people tend to work LONG hours; usual clock out is 7pm; if there's business review or some other important meetings, then as late as 11pm.
Not enough people (hence working late)
Excessive amount of meetings...daily schedule of some people is packed with meetings (between 3 and 5 meetings on average).

    Advice to Management

Hire more people! You can't work people to the bone and expect them to be happy. There is no work/life balance possible with hours like these.

I worked at Coach part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

part time benefits safe working environment

    Cons

absolutely plutocratic ,autocratic ,micromanaging work environment. These folks lull you into a sense of a friendly happy workplace. then after hire , drive you crazy with constantly negative feedback, and there is absolutely no way they are ever wrong. This contributes to a dog eat dog environment. I was one of the top 5 producers, and not only did I not get the hours stated in the interview, they constantly nitpicked about everything. these are handbags for pete's sake, and no one is asking them to lower their standards, but a bit of example setting, and a less adversarial attitude would help.I have many years of retail sales experience, and I have rarely encountered a more hostile workplace. SHAME ON THEM

    Advice to Management

why bother ? you won't change anyway, but you are still the poor man's LV
