Pros

Vacation Time (3 weeks)
Not tied down to an office
World Known Brand

Cons

Transition from company car to personal car.
Sales team is too lean and can never hire the amount of people actually needed.
Holding other departments accountable.
Work-life balance. Lots of hours required. You would think that we are selling life-saving medication.
Too many Chiefs. Ways of execution and going to market frequently change.

Advice to Management

You seriously need to reconsider the transition from company to personal cars. This is costly and you are about to lose a large piece of your sales force. Your people drive your bottom line. Don't forget that.
Also, you need to get more aggressive with price points.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

One of few remaining companies offering pensions
    Solid 401k match program
3 weeks vacation for first 10 years of employment

    Cons

Traditional type health plan contribution out of pocket expense by employee is high and likely to get worse; company promoting HSA alternative with high deductible.

Employees and business issues have suffered due to the method of rollout for the merger/integration; the decision to not fully integrate to a common solution will likely have negative consequences.

    Advice to Management

Employee compensation will become significant issue as economy rebounds as the best talent is lost to organizations in growth mode, the company will not be able react fast enough and will be left with mediocre staff members to continue supporting the business. This is not the best formula to maintain or grow a competitive workforce and winning business model.

Maintaining separate systems, duplicate payroll processing, attempting to continue with different benefits, retirement plans, etc. will lead to morale issues due to inequities and consume existing staff resources due to address all the resulting administrative and personnel issues.
