I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than a year)

Pros

- fair compensation & benefit packages
- 3 weeks of vacation right away
- constantly changing & evolving company
- great advancement opportunities especially for those who are mobile
- solid job security

Cons

- poor work/life balance..... front line managers give way more than is expected
- high turnover rates in front line associates
- long hours & often heavily physical labor
- high stress & pressure environment

Advice to Management

-Require regional & local executives(MU VP's & Sales Directors) to spend more time in the market place meeting customers and Coca-Cola employees.

-Reduce the amount of tracking and useless reporting/conference calls. Provide more/better support to front line leaders.

-Stop allowing MBA's in offices to roll out new programs for the entire country and/or market unit which may or may not apply to specific demographics and markets.

-Get competitive on wholesale costs & price points.

-Put less emphasis on labor leverage and more emphasis on customer & employee satisfaction.

-Open the purse and invest in the right people and equipment for long term gains.

-Eliminate the HERE Team and revert to regional & local HR support.

-Revamp the recruiting process - it is lengthy, arduous & often yields poor candidates.

-Promote based on ability, determination & qualifications instead of ethnicity, gender or diversity.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive salary, promote from within. Good people.

    Cons

Company car discontinued, heavy corporate preasure. Some dishonesty. Tends to exploit hourly employees. Expectations seem a little unreal.

    Advice to Management

Listen to field sales more and react to feedback mote quickly. Shorten the hiring process, takes too long to get results from interviews.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Stable company, decent benefits and coverage(any Dr. appts or procedures cost you 20% of the total bill) Always jobs available because of high turn-over rate

    Cons

Account Managers(non-union position) are the lifeblood of this company. However, they get paid the worst (40K per year straight salary, no commissions). Work the hardest 60-70 hours per week to properly service the accounts. Then management wants you to do computer work and training on the weekends when you are supposed to be off from work. The Union Delivery drivers and Merchandisers are the absolute worst. They don't stock the shelves properly on deliveries, throw the merchandise anywhere they can dump it in the account without a care in the world. The Union always backs these lazy clowns. So they get away with everything and they make the most money. Because of their laziness. Account Managers are responsible for making sure the stores are packed out and merchandised properly on top of all the sales duties. I wind up having to pack out stock in each account every single day. It adds 15-25 more hours per week. FORGET ABOUT TAKING A LUNCH BREAK. MANAGEMENT TELLS YOU TO BETTER MANAGE YOUR TIME IN THE FIELD. HOW CAN I WHEN I HAVE TO SEE 12-15 STORES A DAY BETWEEN 7am and 3:30pm.YOU HAVE TO EAT AND WORK OR DRIVE TO YOUR NEXT ACCOUNT. Management knows what goes on but Doesn't Care in the Least. Its one excuse after the other. If the public knew what they do to Account Managers. They might purchase Pepsi instead. IT IS A SHAME WHAT GOES ON.

    Advice to Management

Restructure the whole system, dump the Union and their employees, pay Account Managers salary plus commission so they can earn a proper living for all the cases the sell, the hours and hard work they put in
