I worked at Coldwater Creek full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Pay is good. My coworkers are nice. They finally took away double discounts.

Cons

We are expected to do too much work. We are rated on customer surveys, rewards cards, personal shopper appointments, emails and credit cards, among other things. The merchandise has gotten too expensive, even with our 40% discount. We don't get raises. Performance reviews don't really matter (just going through the motions).

Advice to Management

Please have a return policy. You would make more money by not letting people return old, worn clothes without any receipt. You need to be more in touch with what is going on in the stores. You spend too much labor on the visual aspects of the store. Yes, the stores look amazing, but people want better prices/quality on the clothing.

    very nice coworkers. enjoy atmosphere

    Cons

    day to day grind. too many policy changes,as far as discounts. the new no double dipping is rough. we are on the end of cutomers in our faces.

    Advice to Management

    get consistant on discounts. set a deadline for returns. for goodness sakes. no other company takes clothes back after worn, and have used for 5 years plus. lets get updated in that area. would save co. millions.
