Pros

-The money is surreal (if you work hard)
-You learn a ridiculous amount about time and people management. Because you will be literally budgeting jobs to the minute every time.
-It is a tough job but the General Manager also acts as a mentor, so it is a perfect way to ease into the non-babysitting environment of real life.
-You get plenty of experience in communication.

Cons

-The work is difficult. One might go out and cold-call for an entire day and spending hard earned money on marketing without getting any leads.
-Work is outdoors, sometimes in pouring rain. Though of course you are given the choice to work that day or postpone it with the customer.
-Not all home owners are friendly to cold callers. (Though it was a surprisingly high 50/50 in my area)

Advice to Management

You have done an awesome job. Both the visits from the VP and the very personal, caring GMs make this company seem like a circle of family.

    Pros

As young entrepreneurs you're given far more responsibility than you're probably qualified to have - and then you're trained on how to do the job. For some this can be very challenging but for those that have a hunger for development & responsibility there's really no better option out there. You'll learn how to lead people, how to deal with conflict, how to sell & a number of other invaluable skills. It's the development and the people that really make the company.

    Cons

It's can be grueling hours and often you don't feel prepared to take on the challenges before you. This is largely due to the on the job training you have and this can be offset by leveraging your coaches & the team around you. It's not for everyone and the ones that struggle often externalize about their problems but in reality running your own business is a big challenge and not everyone is up to it. If you're not the right person you're probably not going to make very much money at it.

    Advice to Management

Continue to innovate on the business practices within College Pro through further automation of some of the more tedious things.
