    Cons

All commission based, tough industry to be excited about, and sometimes difficult to find reliable painters who are trustworthy.

I worked at College Works Painting as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Get exposure into sales field, potential for growth within the company. Fun "work hard, play hard" culture.

    Cons

Lots of moral dilemmas with this internship. Managers are manipulative and don't spend enough time in the field working with their interns. Lack of maturity in management - unless it is written down on paper, do not expect your district manager to follow through on any incentives or promises. Lots of interns drop out during the marketing season. Tough to keep painters for more than a couple weeks unless you go through personal network.

    Advice to Management

Leaders should be role models and should genuinely care about their intern's development. Too much sitting around inside talking about their interns and not enough time spent making sure jobs are done correctly.
