I have been working at Colorado State University part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Good working environment. Able to work with international students. Relatively flexible schedule. Offer an opportunity for Staffs to cover each others work by using the shiftplanning software.

Cons

Sometime there are some problems caused by the lecturer, it is little bit difficult to contact them because at sometimes, we record the video remotely.

    Pros

Working at CSU you means working next to friends, & under thoughtful leadership, in a great location.

    Cons

Depending on where you work there can be long hours and in this job market, probably a lower salary than what others are offering.

  2. "It's a pity higher ed funding in CO is so bad"

I have been working at Colorado State University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Higher ed environment can be rewarding and working for a land grant gives you warm fuzzies. Nice retirement match for faculty and admin pros.

    Cons

Politics, like any university. Very low salaries compared to peer institutions and low morale in many units. No social security contributions.

    Advice to Management

Keep lobbying the legislature for better funding and pray for some of the marijuana tax cash to come your way.
