    Pros

Global company, part of Fiat and Chrysler.

    Cons

HR department does not care about the workers and has no desire to retain talent. There is a constant revolving door with employees. Corporate policy is forced upon you, forced to sign the handbook, yet when you raise an issue or point out a violation you are labeled as disgruntled or a bad employee. Management is incompetent and there is this good ol boy network where people who know nothing of the job are given raises or good positions strictly because they are a buddy of a manager or other supervisor. Example: Deskside Tech hiring in at 70 grand and System admin hiring in at 45 because the tech was a buddy of the manager. IT management has zero skill and fails to allow the knowledgeable admins to do what is right. More downtime in 6 months with new manager and director than in 7 years prior to their appointment. You are looked down on if you voice an opinion or try to follow best practices. Italy calls the shots and management fails to comprehend that fact. Italy IT tells you to do one thing and local management tells you to do a completely different thing. Expected to work days, nights, weekends, and return phone call in 5 minutes so hopefully you do not have to go to the bathroom or shower on the weekends unless you can do it under 5 minutes. Very stressful and unhealthy environment. A sinking ship which is soon to be taken over by Italy.

    Advice to Management

    Practice what you preach.

    Pros

Flexible time, not micromanaged, decent salary, latitude to be creative in solving problems.

    Cons

Very authoritarian. It's a Fiat company so it has a very Italian culture of authoritarian hierarchy. You're told to share concerns or blow the whistle on foul play, but you're really not supposed to. It's like in those mafia movies where you go to the cops with your problems thinking they're there to help you, and in the next scene you see the cops talking with your boss telling him you ratted him out. It puts everyone in a 'keep your mouth shut if you know what's good for ya" mentality. There's a culture of fear to a certain extent.

    Advice to Management

Hire more worker bees than high paid do-nothings.
