I have been working at Comcast as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

The co-workers are very nice. The work environment is fairly laid back for such an office atmosphere. They aren't very strict about your breaks and let you take them at your leisure.

Cons

The upper management dosent really communicate with the lower level employees and are hardly ever seen. They seem to plan maintenance at the most inconvenient times.

Advice to Management

That they should try to get to now the lower level employees better

I worked at Comcast full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good Salary
    Alot of Full Time Positions
    Knowledge Supervisiors

    Cons

All about the bottom line. You don't hit your numbers 2/12 months your written up and then fired on number 3. Which I guess is understandable, but honestly we all know that sales won't be there every month and when they don't allow cold calling or any soliciting of any kind what can you do.

    Advice to Management

Lighten up I know its a business that is evolved around money and that's fine but your really messing with people lives. You can't expect someone to contribute sales and work hard for you if they are being threaten with their job week by week.

I have been working at Comcast full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Many long time employees. Great people to work with.

    Cons

Stingy. It is evident that the company cuts corners to save money. When it is at the employees expense it sends a bad message. Also the interdepartmental relations are bad. When trying to take care of the customer requests go unanswered or responsibilities get shifted to other departments without resolution.

    Advice to Management

A little can go a long way. Show the employees you care by not cutting amenities, employee working environment, newer laptops that don't take forever to turn on. Little things that show employees that leadership cares. It's one thing to listen to employee concerns its another to get them answered.
