I have been working at Comcast full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great work environment. Very friendly and easy to talk to upper management. While it has the potential to be stress full, it's usually very lade back. Great potential for commission based sales. A great 9-5!

Cons

Don't always get off when your suppose to (unless you like overtime).
Don't pay their techs well enough.

Advice to Management

Stay focused on your techs even though corporate's breathing down your necks.

I have been working at Comcast full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great benifits, profit sharing, 401k

    Cons

Customers can be very chalenging but managers and supervisors are only metric driven and could care less about the emply

    Advice to Management

You owe employees four things, Compensation, appriciation, recognition and motivation. You only suceed on ONE of these, Compensation. The reason your CHURN is so high is because there is no reason to work for you. If you dont care about your employees they wont care about you. It's how your treat them, not what you do for them.

I worked at Comcast full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company has excellent benefits. The training is very, very good. The company beyond the customer service area seems to be a very fun place to work.

    Cons

Getting out on the floor after training, you're left to fend for yourself. The company is more concerned with making sales by up-selling products than in dealing with actual consumer complaint issues. The senior reps and managers are extremely rude and nasty when asked questions. Best to go to other reps for answers.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at both the salary of the floor reps AND the support the reps get (or don't get) on the floor. This directly impacts the level of frustration reps deal with in handling customers all day long.
