I have been working at Comcast full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, salary, and perks. Great co workers and team members! Excellent products.

    Cons

Poor management; lack of proactivity when launching new products, processes, or ideas; performance metrics too aggressive without improvement in tools such as databases, software, call volume expectations. Need to improve communication across the company and become more proactive instead of reactive. Truly focus on customer issues rather than bandaid approach. Company has opportunity to be fabulous if issues are addressed.

    Advice to Management

Reality check; someone needs to become aware of daily issues with tools, lack of backup support, understaffed; Public perception of Comcast is negative. Call Center staff cannot resolve all customer problems when they relate to other departmental services such as installation, technical issues, equipment shortages, overscheduling/appt no shows, etc.

I worked at Comcast full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good salaries,
    Good working conditions,
    Good projects
    Good locations

    Cons

You are a number, "family feel"is gone
VERY political - not what you know but who you know
Left -hand does not know what the Right-hand is doing
    Lack of direction / focus
    Lack of organization
What have you done for us lately mentality / no loyalty
Sneaky / have massive layoff, cutback, but you never hear about them

    Advice to Management

Your knowledge and work will NOT get you ahead, it is all about political prowess. If you are not good at sucking up, look for another place to work - very political environment
