I have been working at Comcast as an intern (More than a year)

Pros

The back-office has a great, team-oriented atmosphere where everybody is very willing to help one another out. If you are not customer-facing, your job is actually pretty cool.

Cons

The call centers are awful. People are unhappy and are constantly being yelled at by customers besides doing their best work.

Advice to Management

Fire some of the dead weight and hire younger personnel.

I have been working at Comcast full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Almost free services to use for personal use.

    Cons

Extremely stressful, emotional and verbal abuse the entire shift, 10-12 hour days, extremely low pay -- most call centers average $5-6 MORE than what Comcast base pay provides. Expensive health benefits. Extremely high turn over rate.

    Advice to Management

There is absolutely no consistency within the company or management at all levels, plenty of reps lie to customers and promise outlandish products/pricing which the company cannot honor and those dishonest reps get away with it. There is no accountability held at all. Do something about this.

I worked at Comcast full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

unlimted amounts of training for anything you need. From products to technical data.
great pay, great benefits, open door policy. unlimedted growth opportunities.

    Cons

If in sales (D2D)....you work some non traditon hours 10a-7p. If you our a high performer your hours will vary because you are taking phone calls from prospects wanting your services and those phone call can be any where from 8am to 10pm.
