I worked at CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union (More than a year)

    Pros

I was able to form some great relationships with the members and advise them on accounts, loans and mortgages. I learned a lot and became proficient at helping members and ensuring compliance.

    Cons

I was not allowed to grow. I was overqualified for my position and my tenured colleagues practiced an active culture of not being helpful . Too much social cohesion created an insular environment that at times was isolating.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to coach your tenured employees to prevent high turnover of new employees. Accountability should apply to all employees, not just new ones.
