I worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Plenty of opportunity to develop professionally and grow networks. Expect a very competitive environment. Very modern offices in Sydney. Some work/life flexibility.

Cons

Don't expect your remuneration package to grow as the years and achievements pile up. You'll need some serious promotions to get back on par. Some poor managers/leaders in the mix. Seems to be a big focus on 'diversity' in leadership roles as opposed to best person for the job.

Advice to Management

Review your remuneration policy for current employees. Hire based on merit, not meeting diversity metrics/goals.

    Pros

Good culture to work in the organisation; friendly environment to work with; Recognisation and appreciation from manager of hard work you made; Organisation culture is good as everyone taking up their responsibility try to help with customers whenever they can.

    Cons

Promotion spaces is limited in this division; Remuneration is limited regardless how much you have excess to the goal; Despite taking up additional responsibilities, it does not mean you will get an increase in your pay. Long process requirement for a simply request.

    Advice to Management

Although some research mentioned that remuneration is not the key to the work satisfaction but certainly play the major part of motivation to keep your workforce moving beyond the goals. Please take it seriously and take good care of your workforce that working tirelessly to make your division growing.

I have been working at Commonwealth Bank of Australia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities within the organisation but need to be active in making them happen. It is also an exciting time to be working for an orgnanisation that has been recognised as a leading force in IT in the industry.

    Cons

As with any mega-organiastion there is a lot of 'red tape'.

    Advice to Management

Need to probably work out a better and more equitable pay structure.
