    The pay structure is set up with policies that are actually counter productive and discouraging to hard workers and long time employees, especially those that choose to take a management role. There are very few if any merit increases, typically there is a slight cost of living increase each year.     Change the policies to reward high performance and create true promotional pay increases. Bring back true merit increases that encourage employees to go above and beyond.
