I worked at Communicare Health Services full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

While it varies greatly on your manager, corporate employees enjoy a great deal of flexibility in their schedules. The vision of the CEO - while never fulfilled - is inspiring.

Cons

Management is incompetent and forever reinventing the wheel to address the most recent problem. Politics is the name of the game with most of the big corporate players.

Advice to Management

The CEO needs to pay closer attention to what his other senior leadership is up to. If they had the heart of Mr. Rosedale, the company would be a success regardless of the economic environment.

    I have been working at Communicare Health Services full-time

    Pros

    Corporate management, very friendly and quarterly training for each department. Each facility has its own dynamic and some are better than others but corporate structure in place to regulate how the business works.

    Cons

    Very hard to bonus, and the care at some facilities can hinder your ability to do your job well. Getting a strong Ex. Director and DON is crucial.

    Advice to Management

    Make sure the Nursing and business side can work well together, business relies on reputation of facility and can be tough to always be in damage control.

    I worked at Communicare Health Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Many full time employees got weekends and holidays off.

    Cons

    Dietary departments were outsourced to a separate company which resulted in a larger number of layoffs and decreased the overall quality of the meal services in the facility.

    Pay was also well below average for the area.
