Good group of people, benefits are ok.

Cons

No bonus or stock options for employees unless you management. People are in roles that do not belong there.

    I have been working at Community Health Systems full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Strong company. Great leadership at certain levels. Hard working individuals can be recognized and rewarded if properly marketed by management. Good amount of holidays. CEO awards an extra holiday around Christmas. Pay could be better, but other benefits do help a little.

    Cons

    Some of executive leadership is weak, ineffective, and stuck in old ways. Some lower level management is useless and simply a hinderance to productivity. No bonus structure for non-management.

    Advice to Management

    Relax dress code. Revisit outdated policies.

    Pros

    friendly receptionist...
    difficult to get fired once you're in.
    spending half your salary on the dress code.
    $25 gift card at christmas while ceo makes $20 million for a company
    ability to get more and responsibilities without a salary increase
    being told there is no money in the budget while management rakes in millions

    Cayman-Island based Community Insurance Group (CIG) established so company can buy assets and then lease them to the hospitals so they won't have to pay sales tax.

    Cons

    No internal growth
    New position = no new salary
    Constantly looking over your shoulder, everyone tries to report and backstab everyone "throw you under the bus"
    Overpaid, arrogant, i'm-better-than-you management
    no lunch room or common area.

    Advice to Management

    relax the dress code. when accepting a new position PAY THE EMPLOYEE, there's money there considering how overpaid you guys are.

    develop a corporate culture which doesnt involve constant backstabbing
