I worked at CompuCom full-time

Pros

Challenges within the company for other positions are available. You are able to switch teams/positions when requested and do something else. Your tests such as A+, Security+, Network+, and any other certificates are paid for.

Cons

Politics, favoritism, lack of transparency - there's a lot of secrets held between people regarding their jobs and positions. The Bentonville branch is kind of "off the radar" from corporate, so they get away with a lot more stuff. No local HR is a definite pitfall.

Advice to Management

More transparency and honesty. Needs HR, etc.

I have been working at CompuCom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Multiple accounts in differing geographical regions give you some options as far as mobility is concerned. If you want to skate by, this is your place.

    Cons

This company is consistenly in the lower third of pay scales, regardless of position. They will keep underperforming employees just to maintain consistent customer billing (thus, putting undue pressure upon those who must take up the slack for their peers).

    Advice to Management

Stop offering stupid $25 gift certificates and PAY your employees. Pressuring overworked employees to engage in local volunteerism so that the company can play the 'we care about the community' card is foolhardy.

    Pros

    Paid travel to remote locations

    Cons

Poor communication with management, poor allocation of resources, use of own vehicle,

    Advice to Management

Management does not reward you or praise you. They only call if they need to tear you down and give negative feedback
